My wife and I visit this Toby quite frequently.
Friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Warm welcome on arrival, and special requests are catered for where possible.
Carver Josh is friendly and informative, he slices the joints of meat with care making sure customers are happy with the meat/meats chosen.
Food is plentiful with a good choice of vegetables. Roast potatoes, mash and potato & leek gratin really tasty.
Server Donna is rarely still. Checking diners are happy with their meals, serving drinks, clearing and cleaning tables, finally dealing with bills.
A mention to the other staff members too. All are Friendly, polite and professional, even during extremely busy days when the restaurant is full.

Andrew & Angela (table 1)
Went with my 89 year old disabled mum ( her first time) The lady that looked after us went above and beyond, her name is Donna and if Id have had any cash on me I would have left a big tip. Thank you Donna for your kindness and help with my mum x
My fault for not booking (forgot it was a bank holiday) so it took a little while to get seated. Was told 50 minutes, but the wait was maybe 10.
I wouldn't recommend coming on a busy day, especially for individuals who are ND or find noise/busyness overwhelming. Can get very loud, especially with children. More details in the accessibility section.
A server never came round to our table after being told there would be one, but I don't mind because I've been before and, again, it was busy.
Tasty food as always and still not bad to say there was a little bit more of a raise in price with it being a bank holiday. Roughly £15 each (that's including one king-sized plate!)
Photo looks messy and doesn't do it justice, but the food here is gorgeous. I'd love to go back again soon
