Best place for lunch, brunch or coffee. Love this place. The food is super tasty, the coffee is perfect, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The back garden is lovely when the weather's nice, and there's plenty of seating indoors for the other 99% of the year. They carry some really nice cooking ingredients - pasta, spice pastes, raw chorizo - and also excellent cheese and cured meat.
Good for meeting friends/colleagues or relaxing on your own.
Simply Perfect. Matt and Steve run a wonderful and charming shop that serves nothing but the highest quality food. They not only source the best of British ingredients, but prepare their meals with love, creativity, and quality. I can't imagine a weekend without stopping by Pistachio and Pickle for brunch, lunch, or a coffee. Also, I am an avid wine collector and they source a small offering of very high quality wine at reasonable prices. Very much worth a look.
Because of the wonderful atmosphere, lovely owners, and good eats, Pistachio and Pickle really has become a cornerstone in Barnsbury.

Amazing. period.. This delicatessen has the most amazing food and service, sourcing only the best ingredients at the most reasonable cost. If you want the freshest salmon daily, the best salt beef in London, and a range of cheeses, chocolates and just utter deliciousness everyday, than that is what you will receive. This is a local gem that shines beyond just amazing products but also great customer service!
I've recently moved away from being so close to the P&P and I make it an effort to walk my dogs there each morning for the best coffee and just an awesome environment.
Charming And Exquisite. The Pistachio And Pickle is one of my favourite local places in Barnsbury/Angel. I first heard about it from friends who suggested that well behaved dogs are very welcome there. I had recently acquired an aloof Dachshund who I felt needed to learn some table manners; therefore I was rather thrilled to find out about this marvellous establishment.
It's a Delicatessen first and foremost. Stocking exquisite cupboard staples, fine wines, rare cold meats and sublime cheeses. They also have a vast range of wonderful Beigels, Rolls, Soups and Stoups; a cross between a soup and stew. They also serve a vast array of coffee, teas and an amazing thick Spanish Hot Chocolate; which if allowed to cool turns into chocolate mousse. Divine! There are small areas to stay and savour the delicious offerings which change daily. At weekends they offer a fabulous menu of cooked food for breakfast, brunch and lunch. It does therefore obviously get busy due to the success of their produce. Most of the customers are indeed locals and have no problem sharing spaces or kindly offering their table to new patrons. Indeed on many an occasion I've shared a seat. They also have a garden which makes the venue much larger in the summer months and is a sheer delight away from the noises of our city life.
It is with great fortune to have personally become a customer. I have found everyone to be most charming and helpful. It really is a hub of the 'local' community. I may even go as far to say I have made friends with fellow customers of which I appreciate very much indeed.
Matthew, one of the owners, is an educated man of vast epicurean gourmet knowledge. I have learned so much from his snippets of information and tasting sessions, which he is known to hold spontaneously.
I have been told by fellow visitors that they offer private catering. I hope to host an evening smart enough to show them at their best.
Long may this essential resource reign on Liverpool Road; and may many days of smiles bestow its clientele...

Great place!. Absolutely love this place. Great coffee, great staff, great community feel. Disappointed to see some negative reviews, I've never had a problem and all the regular customers that I know say the same. I would highly recommend this place. Pop in, grab a coffee, have a chat and I can assure you that you'll be back for seconds!
Finsbury Park has really improved since my last visit. Too long ago to remember.
Certainly establishments like Pistachio and Pickle have helped in the transformation.
Loved the vibe even on a Saturday afternoon. Food was lovely and fresh. Drinks were delicious too. Service was efficient and friendly.
We enjoyed our visit and a good reprieve from shopping.
My first time today, and it was truly excellent. My mozzarella, and tomato toasted roll was delicious. The toasted cheese sandwich was one of the best I've ever tasted! My flat white was pretty good, and the Earl Grey was served with a teapot and cup. Service was quick, polite, and courteous! I look forward to visiting again!
This is my favourite place for lunch and hot chocolate. I love their sandwiches and I have been spoiled so I can't order a hot chocolate from anywhere else. I would recommend going here for a brunch on a weekend. I normally have the full fry up which is fantastic. Everyone is so friendly and the service is excellent. This place is a real gem.
One of my favourite coffee shops in London. Love that they serve Monmouth Coffee! Very friendly staff and delicious brunch on the weekends. They have a great selection of cheese! Dog friendly too :)
Excellent little local deli with amazing expertise in tracking down the very best ingredients. Good coffee, great local scene and very friendly and a favourite with a fair few celebs. Don't miss the brunch.
