Stopped in on a Monday for 1 pound pizza night. Excellent food and service. My daughter and I enjoyed the Gin and Tonic. Husband appreciated the beer
Long gone is 'Jenny Ha's', the archetypal old man pub. Silent, dark and dingy. Kilderkin is more traditional, without ever seeming to pander to just the old folk that go in.
The choice of beer is good, the manager himself has a penchant for liking beers and I know he regularly attends beer, rum and whisky tasting sessions.
The food is also great, they used to do pizzas, but the burgers and the haggis, neeps and tatties are brilliant. It's not too cheap, but the food is of a high standard and worth the price every now and again.
The atmosphere is relaxed and easygoing. Management and staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is pretty good - especially the fat chips which are wonderful! It’s good value for money. Tea/ coffees are also available and the beers are interesting and varied.
