We absolutely love it here. The walks around the estate woodland are beautiful, well maintained and easy to access. The accommodation in the castle and the old stables is homely and comfortable. The food from The Lairds Kitchen is home made, fresh and delicious. We visit Aberdeenshire annually and always call here for lunch, or to stay. They don’t take dogs in the accommodation unfortunately, though.
A great experience and well worth a visit.
We done the self tour, and the explanation in each room was plenty to explain it all well.
You can't do it if you are a wheelchair user or limited mobility due to having to go up the long spiral stone staircase.
We went into the tea shop and the food was great and thoroughly delicious 😋
A great choice and highly recommended
A fascinating querky place with a delightful tearoom and shop. On the day we visited there was a craft fare taking place which gave us free access to the majority of the castle we allso took a walk through the woods up to the Delgatie fishery. Nice friendly staff. Well worth a visit. Free carpark.
