Nice little country pub. Haven't tried the food yet, but would like to. Was pleasantly surprised to see a vegan vegetable tart on their daily specials board. Not sure if they always offer a vegan option, or just certain days. We stopped in for a cold drink on a hot day, met the resident dogs, and enjoyed the probably authentically old decor and photos of the local war heroes and celebrities. I'll post an update if and when we've tried the food and spent a little longer there. Oh - and be aware that they stop serving food at 3pm.
We decided to stop on our way back from the farm shop, a lovely pint of beer in the garden. Food is only served at lunch times, this is the first time we have been back for about 40 years, hopefully it won’t be so long next time!
Friendly staff/landlord, lovely pub dogs, good range of beers on tap, decent food and a great country vibe to the pub complete with a wood fire and fireplace and beams on the ceiling, plus beer garden. Good pub for a visit if you're in the village
