Great food and nice service.
We had a very nice time, the food quality was excellent and the service was great. There are just a couple of things that let the restaurant down, which in the modern day and age could be easily rectified.
The bill was not itemised, so it is impossible to know if you have been correctly charged. I suppose the hand written bill with 'food, drink and desert' listed may be considered 'authentic', but it is potentially misleading.
The tapas dishes vary in size and are too large, on average, to be tapas really.
The menu is a bit on the expensive side. The olives were £5, over priced for what they were and our wine was £25 where a fairer price would have been around £18.
We had a lovely time and enjoyed our food. We will go again.
For our first evening out in Stroud we wanted to try somewhere that was recommend and we weren't disappointed. We arrived to a very warm welcome and tried the excellent Sunday roast, choice of Beef, Chicken, Pork and Lamb, we had the Beef and Pork which were both perfectly cooked and surprisingly even at 6.30pm on a Sunday all roasts were available and serving later than most places do in the town on a Sunday which was perfect for us. Apparently they also do Sunday Roast delivery if you want to stay at home and not cook, a great idea. We will most certainly come back to try the Tapas at some point soon, baby sitters permitting!
