Came here for a family get together as it was near to our elderly relative and half way for everyone else. Staff are great and the food lovely. It was my turn to cover the bill and keeping in mind it was for 6 people I was pleasantly surprised. Very reasonable!
Exceptional pub food with friendly helpful staff. We visited this pub yesterday on a recommendation. It is very rare to find a pub that has really good, imaginative , food but this one does have that.
I had a fish platter which was an absolute delight with anchovies, salmon, prawns and herring on an interesting bed of salad. Others in the group had cod, honey roast ribs, chicken and leek pie and gammon. All were very good indeed and with generous portions. The staff were very knowledgeable about the menu choices and were friendly and helpful.
The Crown is a real find and is highly recommended
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food cooked on the premises. Very tasty, perfect portions. Worth the ten mile drive for lunch!
