My wife is gluten intolerant and fancied a fish and chips. as we were in the area we decided to try wots cookin. Really nice meal well cooked well presented the only complaint we had "too much food on the plate" we couldn't finish our portions. Really good experience would go again if we're in the area would definitely recommend.
The food was freshly cooked to order, table service by friendly staff. Very clean premises. I had a daily special, Fish, chips and a small pot of mushy peas, also with the meal came a side salad,a sachet of tartare sauce, a pot of tea for one ( I had 2 good cups of tea from it). Due to it being freshly cooked the food was all hot and very tasty, the chips were not greasy, crisp on the outside but soft and fluffy inside. All this for £9.
I asked on behalf of my wife if they catered for gluten free food. The lady advised me to phone up 30 minutes prior to visiting , to allow the frier to be switched on to warm up, as they use a separate fryer , correct procedure.
I was very impressed by the way this eatery operated. Highly recommended if you are hungry and want to eat good food in a clean and friendly, not rushed atmosphere.
Thank you for making my visit to Oswestry a very pleasant day out.
In the words of Arnie "I'll be back".
Lovely fish and chips with a little salad, and the chicken pie taste home made.
