Had a great time tonight, had a wowcher voucher to try it out, and it wasn't disappointing service was quick and efficient, it wasn't busy which was nice as we were able to take our time, reggae music was playing in the background, but they do have live acts on as well, so you may want to ring them and ask if that's what you would like to listen to, lots to choose from your usual jerk chicken and pork, to vegetarian lasagne, dumplings, coleslaw (homemade), Red stripe beer...yes, and good selection of soft drinks, and lots of spirits with Mount Gay, Appletons, Wray and Nephews mmmmm, it was lovely, staff lovely take time to explain dishes, and advise on HEAT, phew, so cost, we had 2 vouchers, as we were two couples, worth £40.00p in total, and we had to pay £23.15p, that was for 4 x starters, 4 x mains, extras....rice and peas, 2 x dumplings so equalled 4, and a bowl of coleslaw, plus 4 x red stripe, 2 x diet coke and 1 x J2o, total price £63.15 for 4. Didn't feel ripped off and will be going back.
Shocked at the bad reviews as we’ve visited Irie twice now, with no problems! Love the Ackee and salt fish spring rolls, nice portions and great cocktails. Will be booking again soon!
I don't usually review on here but I've been up from Kent since Thursday and was taken out to Irie for food to which I had a great night. Lovely food and drinks. It was a very busy night and the staff dealt with it very well. Will definitely go again when I am back in Notts!
