We had two visits to Fenwick's; the first was for breakfast where we had a nice cappuccino and almond croissant. the second time was to explore the Food Hall - which is amazing. Obviously, it has high end prices but some of the food there was just incredible not only to gawk at but also to buy. I recommend the carrot cheesecake and some of the savoury pies. It's a welcome haven in the hustle and bustle of the city centre

What an experience this shop is. It prides its self on quality and service. The open space within the store is a pleasure. Where 99% of other stores have crammed as much as they can into the foot print of the building. Fenwick are an exception and need to be congratulated for their efforts. I take my hat off to you.

Fenwick Northumberland street Newcastle-Upon- Tyne was built in 1914 to designs by the architect Marshall & Tweedy. This opened 140 years ago and has a Christmas Window every year which is a big occasion during Christmas time for Newcastle and the North East. This year's Christmas Window theme for 2023 is CS Lewis's The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. The store was founded by John James Fenwick in 1882 and is still owned by the Fenwick family today.
