I would say this is a very conveniently located restaurant but kind of being missed out as it's on a side street. According to the waitress, it's busy during lunch though. I came around early evening which was pretty quiet. Love the decor with a lot of paintings hung all over the place. So if you need to take a rest for your legs after a long day and have some peace of mind, this is a nice place. Regarding the food, i had the prawn toast which was nice. But the sirloin steak was bit too hard even though i ordered medium rare and the sauce accompanied the steak was quite a small portion. However the servers were very friendly. And the vegetables were really tasty. They're very nice and accommodating to replace the chips with broccoli for me. Also, the wine list is extensive. Would be back again.
Delicious lunch today. Recommend sitting up at the bar if you have a chance.
The goats cheese salad is a great side salad to share. Had the salmon with tomatoes and a delicious dill and almond dressing, the skin was perfectly crispy and the salmon tender and cooked really well.
My friend had the fish and chips.
Great spot for all day dining near Big Ben and Parliament so perfect to drop in after some sightseeing.
Service was excellent. Highly recommend
I highly recommend not missing their desserts at this establishment. My friend and I indulged in their superb strawberry and Pimm's trifle, and also devoured a delightful chocolate hazelnut cake. We found the cafe to be extremely cozy and charming with a great atmosphere, excellent quality food, reasonable pricing, and friendly service. In my opinion, it's exactly what the area needs on weekends and it's conveniently situated within walking distance of St. James' Park.
