The atmosphere is lovely, the place is very magical. Cute magic to do, very cleaver. I would give 2 stars for the cleaning. The cups, the cutlery the jugs where not clean. My spine was used. We asked to change many and ever the clean one where not fresh but a bit sticky. I would make sure to be more careful in this for the future. But the experience was lovely.
I visited here after having it on my bucket list, and although the atmosphere was better than I expected, the gluten-free food was the worst I have ever been served.
The cupcake was solid and stale, and it felt like it had been left out on the side for several months. The scone was also extremely dry and fell apart. The bread on the sandwiches was dry. The roll was delicious. The lemon meringue tart was lovely.
It is a magical experience, and I enjoyed all the elements but felt like the three drinks at the end were a waste. I did not see anyone drink them, and without any guidance on how to make them actually taste nice, we were just experimenting and adding ingredients that did not make it taste any nicer. I would have liked a guide on a variety of different brews that we could follow to create our own drinks.
It is definitely an experience that I would recommend, but only once and more for the atmosphere than the food.
Absolutely loved our experience at the Wizard Exploratorium. It was so fun making our own cocktails that bubble and smoke! Jack, our server, was incredible at being on hand to help when we needed items and was great at staying in character. We even bought 2 cocktails and an extra shot, one of which was set on fire!
We booked the afternoon tea and had a really good time. We were with Mitch and he was funny and considerate and kind. There are some spells and cool effect involved but we felt there could have been more (you spend much time sort of by yourself). The food was cute, but not a lot. The place is wizardly run down which has it's charm apart from on the toilets. We also had two "unicorn bloods" which are nice as you get them from the unicorn bartender, but IMHO not worth the money. Also, our event was basically over 28 mins before the set time with everyone else leaving, which was weird and sort of breaking the mood and magic a bit. Can recommend it as a fun thing to do once :) The people there are all very nice.
Had such a great time. There is a variety of things to do with the different potion making activities and using our wands to open boxes or turn lights on.
The food was great. I felt that it was worth the cost for the whole experience and food/drink.
One suggestion would be for our hosts to dress a little more towards the theme. The hosts were great, full of energy and made it a memorable experience. It's just the casual dress that drew away from the wizard experience.
