Brilliant night! Nice to have good food with real people.
Loris, Connor and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make our night superb.
The food was extremely well planned and cooked, some of the menu was at first glance rather weird (to
My imagination) however everything had sublime tastes, nuances and flavour combinations.
The bread was warm and crusty, the butter was sublime! (I will not give away the taste)!
The starters were tasty and full of flavour, there are some specials in limited quantities (when they have gone there gone)
The main courses are limited but OMG the quality and imagination in these dishes is brilliant!
Deserts are also limited but again do not be put off by Stilton in a desert!
The wine list is quite extensive and the bar is very well stocked!
All in all we have had a wonderful night and good food, good service!
A very good unhurried lunch. Met with a friend who lives locally and decided to try Walter's on the strength of a very good review by Jay Rayner last weekend. Although quite busy it was good to be able to have a relaxed conversation without having to shout over loud music. The music played was loud enough to hear but not intrusive and was an eclectic mix, well chosen for a very mixed clientele. Shared vegan n'duja mussels and had excellent and generous portion of chicken schnitzel with sauerkraut and mustard mayo. Wine by the glass was excellent though pricey. Beer and snacks whilst we waited for the table. Friendly and accommodating staff.
A delightful spot. The staff were kind and professional. Cocktails and small plates were clearly made with pride. Cocktails were well-balanced and fresh ingredients shine in the meal. A welcoming atmosphere and pretty aesthetic rounds it out.
