I entered this place by chance and it was a lovely discovery.
Warm welcome, we got great advice on which dish to pick, I was impressed by the wine list, out of the ordinary.
The dessert was my favourite bit, like an Ile Flotante, but better.
I don’t put 5 stars because the bread served with the sardines pate was burned which spoiled the started a bit…
Went for a friends birthday. Had an incredible meal! Great food and good wine! Will return.
The starters were really good. I wish we got more of them. I got the piri piri chicken for my main. Really enjoyed it! The chocolate mousse was also really good and had crackling candy in it, interesting twist.
We finally tried this place and were not disappointed. Food is exceptionally good, start to finish. They offer a variety of mouth watering Portuguese dishes.
For starters we went for grilled prawns and chicken wings. Sambal sauce of chicken wings was delicious, what a nice south-Asian touch! I wanted to try their fish of the day but they ran out (don’t blame them, restaurant was packed and it was a weekend). Settled for their seafood stew with coconut cream which was surprisingly good. Do try their castella cake, it is simply amazing.
This restaurant does appear small from outside but don’t be fooled, the place is quite extensive with multiple levels.
Service could be faster but since we went for a dinner on a weekend and were in a company of good friends it didn’t matter much.
We will definitely be returning.
