A lovely pub located near Waterloo Station. Great atmosphere with traditional decor. I visited on a rainy Wednesday evening with family. It was packed, and we haven't booked a table, but lucky we managed to get one as some people were leaving. So definitely recommend booking in advance. We ordered beer at the bar, which was excellent - draught Guinness, Peroni and another nice ale. There is a good selection of beers! Service was friendly and fast. The food was just excellent! We had fish and chips and a cheese burger. Everything was delicious! Definitely recommend the place.
Actually a really nice pub. Staff are awesome, food and beer was excellent. Clare and the team are doing a really great job with the place. Keep up the good work!

❤️ A superb backstreet boozer in an atmospheric location.

Located in the backstreets in Waterloo and set amongst some of London's oldest workers cottages, you’ll find The White Hart. The nearest Tube is Waterloo which is a five minute stroll from here.

This pub dates back from 1848, the current building was built for the Wenlock Brewery in the 1930’s. In 2019 the pub received a sympathetic restoration by owners Mitchells & Butlers restoring the external signage.

The decor here is traditional with a contemporary twist, this creates a welcoming feel. At the heart of this pub is the beautiful island servery which is clad in shaker wood panels, has a solid mahogany counter and is lit by elegant brass pendants. The walls are a combination of pale and dark contrasting colours, plus exposed brickwork with colourful prints. The seating is a mix of low level tables and chairs, a poser table and stools by a ledge at the rear of the bar. At the front of the pub there are a few tables and chairs looking across to St Patrick’s church.

The beer selection was excellent and included five cask ales. My pint of choice was an Estrella, my pint was enjoyable but expensive. There is an elevated traditional pub grub menu available, Fish & Chips costs £16.

I visited on bank holiday Monday back in May. I arrived just after midday and the pub was quiet with a solo punter and a three ball in attendance. The service was good, the staff were upbeat and busy preparing the pub for the days trade. I loved the atmosphere here, it was calm and relaxing and felt like a great place to have a beer.

I love visiting this historic enclave in and around Roupell Street, not only does it have superb pubs like the @whitehartpubse1 but I love the feeling of stepping back in time amongst the 19th century architecture. The White Hart is a lovely boozer in a great location, whats not to like.
