Ordered a custom made rainbow cake for a friends birthday, their customer service is commendable , every small detail that I wanted was accommodated and the cake was delivered on time and definitely exceeded my expectations.

L'orchidee is a small boutique on the lower floor of Westfield Stratford (they have additional locations too).
They sell some nice looking cakes and macarons, but my trip here is only for one reason. MACARON ICE CREAM SANDWICHES !!!!!!
"SAY WHAT!!!" I hear you say...."isnt that what the famous Yolkin Maice sells and no one else?"
Well, that's what I thought. I'm too lazy to wake up early and stand in a queue at 11am 😎, so this finally gave me a chance to check these bad boys out....till i try Yolkin eventually.
These treats were amazing. I didn't really know what to expect but I was pretty happy with what I tried. Passion fruit zinging with citrus (might be too much for some but its how I like it), Pistachio as creamy as you can get and Hazelnut which for me was the standout, like eating an Kinder Bueno mixed with a Milo shake but so much better than both. YUM.
The macarons were pretty decent too. Crisp shell and chewy centre, perfect match for that ice cream filling.
Now i can't wait to try Yolkin's versions. But I'm content knowing I can get something similar so close to home finally ☺
you know when you been good all week, eating clean or at least trying.. maybe going to the gym..and you think i deserve a treat, trust me this's the place to go, i had a cake from here omg it was heaven on earth the well balanced delicate flavours are still playing in my mind even though i had it on sunday, they have a lil shop in canary wharf station, thats where i got it from but looks like they are at Westfield sheppers bush too, saturday is my cheat day ill be there :)
