Pretty pub.  Looks like an independent so we were surprised to see it had exactly the same menu as The Angel Inn in Highgate.

I enjoyed my wings there a few weeks ago so had them again today.  Nice smokey chargrilled wings drizzled in a little sweet sauce.  Also ordered the padron peppers which were sprinkled with some rough salt.  My companion's pulled pork sliders were very tasty with lashings of BBQ sauce.

Friendly service.  Cash payments only.

A fantastic venue to hold a party! It's a lovely private room, the communication organising this was great. We ordered some buffet food (the premium set, 25 for 60 people, supplied most people with some nibbles) which was really delicious, and the staff were lovely!! We were allowed to decorate and play our own music, and it really personalised our event. I would thoroughly recommend booking here. Apart from that, the only draw backs are that it's down a flight of stairs so if you have any disabled attendees take that into consideration, and it would have been nice to have an extra bar staff who could support when the bar was busy and clear away glasses in-between. Was also warm at first, but I think they must have turned on the aircon. I'd happily book again or suggest it to others. Thanks for giving me a lovely evening to remember.

The Washington is a beautiful pub on England's lane. They have a pub quiz evening during the week and jazz nights on Sunday (18:30-21:00). This pub is usually very well visited during evenings and on weekends. I recommend booking a table in advance via phone. During those hours it gets very loud and it's difficult to have a relaxed conversation. There are a few small tables in front of the pub as well (since it's located at a small junction it might not be the most peaceful location to have a chat). 👍 The staff is always kind and the pub looks very clean and well maintained. So far all the food we've had was great and beautifully served. 💷 The main reason why we don't come here often are the prices (e.g. £5.5 for a small portion of chips). Once in a while it's fine but compared to other pubs in the area it does seem to be on the higher side.

A great Victorianesque pub tucked away between Belsize Park and Primrose Hill. A fine range of beers from both the keg and cask. This is a card only place, just a word of warning. A lovely looking bespoke menu with a wide variety of dishes on offer. The staff are lovely and proficient, most importantly with a smile!! I have enjoyed a lovely pint and love all the etched glass. A great pub, thank you.

After a very lengthy walk on a sultry summer day we stumbled upon the Washington around mid afternoon and were warmly greeted by the establishments lovely manager. Both she and her team made us feel very much at home and the locals played a full part in creating a lively, friendly atmosphere. The service was first class and the food was plentiful and tasty. We whole heartedly recommend a visit to this most characterful hostelry. Probably the best London pub we have ever visited. Grateful thanks from the both of us. Patrick and Julie Cullinane

I made a reservation on the Same day of our visit. The table was spacious and the service was great. The male waiter who initially served us and at different point was particularly good- very polite but, unfortunately did not take his name (he was wearing glasses). The food was tasty- the fried wings were delicious! I will definitively recommend the Washington to others. Also, the pub is doggo friendly!
