I come here on a regular basis.
Food is great .
Prices are great too
Always amazing authentic Indian food at great price ! Love it .
Had the crab masala and the nadan chicken fry...was yummy and spicy just the way I like it...ambience can be improved but otherwise the food is good...👌
Kerala fish curry meals is awesome. Authentic Kerala food. it just close to the East ham Tube station. The biryani chicken or fish are worth trying too.
Small and clean place. Authentic Kerala food. The waiter suggested us Deviled Chicken for starter, which was huge in quantity since we were 3 of us, bit sweetish but was good. I would totally recommend Appam and Chicken Korma. Biryani was just ok..
I have been to ananthapuri multiple times.
Whatever i tried here have been excellent.
This place provides authentic kerala cuisine at reasonable price.some of the must have items are fish curry meals, kerala porotta, biriyani.
Their sea food items are also good. For ppl who fear spicy food, tell them in advance
The food here took me back to my childhood in one mouthful. The beef fry was succulent and spicy and I enjoyed it with the flaky parathas, the mutton biryani was fragrant and subtle, my husband enjoyed the mutton thali and the crab curry with appams was an absolute treat! The service was courteous and the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because there was a 45 minute wait for the food to arrive. Having said that, it was worth every mouthful so I will definitely be returning there again.
I don't understand the negative reviews. Ate here for the first time today, fantastic food on par with the best I've experienced in London (e.g. Tooting). The devilled paneer was extremely tasty with just the right amount of chilli. The puri and chapati were awesome and very fresh compared to most others I've tried. The portions were also very generous (which rarely goes hand in hand with quality). Highly recommended.
Brilliant keralan food, cheap, tasty, spicy and good portion sizes. Go for biryani, devilled chicken, vada, egg curry and poronta.
The location is the sectioned off back of a pub so it's pretty basic but the food is delicious.
They also cater for large groups very well, we order portions for 60 to feed 80 people. You just have to collect the pots full of food and then return them empty of food a day or two later.
Nice restaurant located a few feet away from East Ham tube station. Good choice of Kerala food items and you can also watch malayalam tv channels (Asianet mainly). Can get quite busy. Reasonable rates.
So tasty! If you have an itch for South Indian food, come to East Ham for Ananthapuri. Little paradise for kerala food just a minute or two from the tube station.
We usually get the whole fish cooked in spices and tomato and wrapped in banana leaf, butter chicken, pilau rice, and a trio of parathas. More than enough food for three people, and for two people, you have enough for lunch the next day. And this comes out to £29 total for two people, even with a mango lassi.
Food does take a little while, but great place to sit and chat since it never gets super crowded.
Pick up some desserts from one of the joints down the street!
best Kerala restaurant in Eastham. but avoid going there on weekends if you are on a rush. ETA to get your food once ordered is about 45 mns.
