Docklands is a prime example of how to run a good local chippy: keep things simple – lots of chips, good quality fish, good staff and you’re onto a winner. It’s not outstanding, it’s never going to be the go-to location in East London, but it’s not trying to and sometimes that’s absolutely fine.
Their chips are great - proper chip shop chips. Their salads are great. As a vegan, chips and salad is all I've ever had here.
However, to my pleasant surprise, they recently introduced a new vegan range! It's unusual for a takeaway shop such as this one to offer vegan options, so, credit to them for that.
They now have vegan pies, burgers and sausages on the menu, which is great.
Unfortunately, I'm trying to limit my consumption of such processed products currently, so I probably won't be trying them. Also, my workplace is moving location very soon and I'll no longer be around.
Maybe I'll grab a battered sausage one day before we move so I can do a better review.
Regardless, the guys running this joint are awesome.
Delicious food, only fault was that we had to wait ten minutes for the fish 🐟 ended up having a very satisfying cheat meal! Don't go here if you are dieting, 915 calories (roughly) for a small fish and half of a small chips with salt vinigar and ketchup! 😍🍟🍽️ My sister had the pie which was also very nice!
