The food was surprisingly good. I'd rate the place five stars just for the food. I got chicken tikka masala and my husband got lamb rezzala. We savored every bite. The ambiance was a bit weird. We happened to have dinner while a huge group of drunk lads were having a Christmas party which definitely made things more... Colorful.

Couple of notes: The restaurants next to each other are managed by a reservation system that’s essentially a guy taking phone calls. You can sign up for one restaurant and you’ll be sent to anyone that has space. It’s like a cartel. Food is mediocre at best. BYOB tends to redeem this. Service is abhorrent and inattentive. They also screwed up the bill and threw a cold stare when I pointed it out and wanted it corrected. Avoid this place and the Brick Lane cartel here at all costs.

I visited this restaurant tonight with my boyfriend and it’s safe to say we will never return. We were approached by a man on the street offering 20% off - do not fall for this trick as it was so expensive even with this discount! There was a hair in my food, the tandoori chicken was extremely dry and it was very average. The rice was greasy and the service was very slow due to larger tables which they clearly cared more about. Ambience was rubbish as we could barely hear each other talk. Disappointing and over priced.

Didn't like that they brought starters for everyone that we didn't order, the curries themselves weren't very good, definitely don't go here there's much nicer places to go.

We were actually planning on going to Aladin, but we weten sent to the next door restaurant Jasmine. I guess it’s the same restaurant, but with a different name. It was super loud, as it was Saturday evening and people were celebrating their birthday as well. It was actually so loud, there was no possibility to talk on a normal level! We almost had to scream to be able to hold a conversation. Food was amazing though. Especially the butter chicken was amazing! However, we ordered garlic rice and I think we got served the plain rice. Service could be better, but since it was too busy, there was no possibility the waiters would have time to actually give any service. Actually, when ordering beer, the employees literally rushed to a nearby supermarket and would serve that beer to us. They would just stand next to our table, grab the beer out of the plastic bag and put it on our table. Would not recommend for a date, but rather for a group dinner.

Went for my first brick lane curry last night. Tried to go to Cinnamon but got quickly ushered into Jasmine by the guys outside saying it was the sister restaurant. The food was average but the service was pretty dire. The waiters were aggressive and rude to us the whole time we were there and then determined we would leave as soon as the food was over. I get that they encourage a quick turn around for more custom but asking a security guard to come and remove us from the table was a bit extreme when all we wanted to do was finish our drinks. Not the experience I had hoped for and won't recommend it to anyone.

Scammers. First you get harrassed to come in by a dude outside, then you gamble about prices then in the end they make you pay more with weird sudden service fees, we were a huge uni group and I didn't even receive my soft drink, super rude service way too little space and after paying they immediately took everything off the table and kicked us out basically since they had other customers wanting to come in... the menu doesn't have prices they made us pay 12£ each even though we agreed on 10£ and didn't even give most of us the drinks. Horrible. Do not spend your money there.

Had a fantastic time here yesterday evening. We had booked a table and were seated straight away. We had a different curry each. I had the Madras, which was a medium spice level and very nice. The Peshwari Naan is fantastic. Reasonably priced too. It is very noisy but aside from that everything was fantastic! Highly recommended.
