Great food a nd great value for money .
This place is a hidden away gem. I am so lucky to work next to it. I have introduced many frineds to it and we're all of the opinion that this place does the best Turkish food in London. It tastes so good it's bound to be good for you, it certainly does wonders for relieving stress at work. One star lost because it doesn't have any independent halal certification, which I think would be a smart business decision considering the local demographics.
We had great value mezze. Friendly service. Our order comprised of shakshuka, taramasalata, lahmacun, and garlic mushrooms.
We were brought complimentary starters of a warm fresh pita, olives, tzaziki and spicy Turkish salsa. Steam escaped from the bread when you tore into it.
Shaksula, or fried aubergine with spicy tomato sauce was tasty but didn't contain egg, as is usually the case. Tarama was an alarming shade of pink but very flavorful and a big portion. Lahmacun was lovely and light, with a scant layer of lamb mince on a nice thin flat bread. I wouldn't order the mushrooms again, as there was too much cream for my taste.
We would like to return to try the mains which looked great. The two of us had a lot of food for £24 including a 13% tip and a glass of wine. There was complimentary turksih delight at the end of the meal.
