All the starter portions were very generous – the duck spring rolls and spare ribs even had more than 4 pieces and we subsequently worked out a clever bargaining system. The duck spring rolls were packed tightly with meat, and when I took a bite out of the spare ribs, the entire thing fell right off the bone. All the main courses were bursting with flavour and the meat was juicy and tender (particularly the duck, which was my personal favourite).
Chilled Thai dining. Hidden gem close to Victoria station. Littlequiet but the cooking more than makes up for it - there is passion in the kitchen! My wife's Larb Nua Salad with beef ribeye was fragrant, spicy and zesty. My slow simmered beef Mussaman with Indian influence spices melted in the mouth. Leave space for the Drunken Ice Cream............
Good food at a sensible price.. Initially went here due it's closeness to Victoria coach station, but it turned out to be more than a "this will do" restaurant.
The food was very good, authentic tasting and served in reasonable time.
The servings were of a reasonable size, unlike some of the bigger chain Thai eateries that seem to think we all need to be on a diet.
A mixed starter followed by a main with rice had me feeling sated (and I usually like fairly large portions).
The service is polite and respectful, and a mere glance in the general direction of a waitress gets them over with a smile asking what you would like.
The decor is clean and well set, with a little artwork here and there, and a candle and flowers on every table.
Not too cluttered, and not too plain.
The price isn't much more than a good take-away (speaking of that, they do a take-away service which I might just go there for). A meal for 2 consisting of 2 starters, 2 mains with rice, and a drink or two each will set you back between £40-50 dependent of your meat preference.
If I had to think of any negatives, it would only be the strange funky elevator music playing a little too loudly in the background.
Anything would have been better, even complete silence, but I'll forgive them as it certainly wasn't bad enough to ruin the evening.
All in all, if you happen to be in the area and fancy a bit of Thai, you'll be more than happy with this place.
