We loved it, the food was faultless and the service was excellent. We had a drink downstairs before dining, the whole experience was great. The wine was so smooth and majestic.
On our first day in London after a redeye flight, we wanted a relaxed pub for lunch with decent food. The ME London hotel recommended The George, which is only three blocks away and on the Strand in the Coventry Garden theater district.
Ordering appetizers, we were not expecting to be surprised, but the soup of the day, the scotch egg, the mushrooms and the charcuterie were fantastic. We may go back for dinner sometime.

Fantastic traditional pub. Large area inside and plenty of seating including some in the outside alleyway. Great service, very friendly and attentive. Decent selection of beers available. Good atmosphere inside, traditional feel with it being a little dark.
