Thursday evening, dinner after work, packed, but they found us a table.
If you like plenty of meat, this is the place to come.
We did have one gripe where the gravy was not edible. It was just too salty. On the positive side, the service was very good considering how busy they were.
The kale and parmesan was a pleasant surprise and I could eat it again. They did not charge us for the gravy.
Awesome food, fab staff!!!!
Four of us booked in advance as it's quite popular specially on a Sunday night but still somehow it didn't feel crowded and I couldn't have asked for a better service from their staff.
The food just blew my mind, we had the "All in- Roast" with lamb, pork and beef, it was cooked to perfection, lovely decorated and plenty meat to share among the four of us, the carrots were caramelized and the Yorkshire pudding felt fresh and soft.
They serve nice cocktails and an amazing white chocolate cheesecake as well.
Anyone who enjoys a good ambiance, service and a Sunday Roast, should definitely give it a try, you won't regret it.
Wow wow wow. We booked quite far in advance for a Sunday roast. The restaurant was busy, and music was a little loud (to be honest it was a little sensory overload) BUT THE ALL IN SUNDAY ROAST WAS TERRIFIC! So glad I came here. It still doesn't beat my favourite (Hunter S pub), it's the closest contender. All in had roast pork, pork crackling, beef, lamb, roast potatoes, carrots and charred cabbage with a HUGE Yorkshire pudding. The gravy was lovely, but might be slightly on the sweet side for some. Service was great, especially Calypso who was an absolute delight.
Update: we went again for dinner on a Thursday evening and ordered the All-In, which includes 3 pre chop bites as a starter and then pork, beef and lamb all perfectly cooked. We also ordered dripping beef chips, broccoli and walnut salad and the Blacklock gravy. Everything was perfect! Highly recommend this place as an all-rounder!
