Me and my husband had a lovely lunch today at Smoke & Dough. The first thing we were really impressed with was the lovely, friendly service from Izzy. She was very polite and helpful throughout the whole experience. Service with a smile really makes a big difference. The bread and houmous was lovely! We really liked the onion focaccia and the seeded bread was lovely too. We got the set menu and the meat platter that came out was just awesome! Raj was really lovely who served the platter and made us feel very welcome. The table has a special warmer in it for the hot plate which keeps the food warm and stops it going cold while you’re eating which is a bonus for my husband in particular as he eats quite slow and the food stayed piping. My husbands favourite meat was the minted lamb which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. My favourite was the steak which was a really good size and the chicken skewers which were lovely and tender. It was also a nice surprise that the cocktails were 2-4-1 and the Smoke & Dough Bramble was my personal favourite and they certainly are not shy with the alcohol!! Very generous with this and their food portions. Near to the end of the meal, Emily came over to check everything was okay with our meal which Izzy had also asked earlier which was really thoughtful and also asked if we needed anything. I would definitely be back again!! On a sunny day I’d love to sit outside and have a few cocktails so I’ll be back again but on a rainy day like today the atmosphere and decor inside is gorgeous and I’ll definitely be a regular!
