Was so excited to try this spot that I forgot to check-in. A small Canadian oasis doling out specialized poutines that are customize-able to your taste.
So many things I wanted to try on the menu but could only settle for one. Decided on the "Hangover Poutine" (£6.95) - a large handful of fries with bacon, sausage, gravy, curds, and a fried egg on top. Meal is super dense, with the fries packed in and smothered by all the ingredients. Curds are plentiful and the meat/egg is cooked well. Could have used a bit more gravy, yet by the end of it couldn't finish the several remaining fries. To wash it all down, ordered a can of flavored seltzer (£1).
Service here was helpful as the lady behind the counter went through the items patiently. Also like that fact that several tables were near outlets to charge our phones. Definitely a great place to stop by.
What a fun find in Liverpool!
Nestled in the city centre on a pretty packed street, it could easily be looked over. But lucky for my bf and I, we stumbled upon it as it was opening up for lunch. We were hungry - and good thing because the portion sizes are quite large.
But true to poutine fashion it's messy and delicious! They have many different menu items and toppings to chose from - I stuck to bacon and sour cream and I was pleased.
They have waffles as well but we didn't get a chance to try those although they looked delicious.
Do yourself a favor - and stop in her for a filling lunch or after a night out of drinking.
Very nice selection of poutine. It does help that the owners are from Canada! I had the Tremblant poutine with gravy, curds, bacon, etc. The portion is very generous and enough for two to share. The flavors worked very well here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this location to someone who was looking for some Canadian comfort food! Great job guys!
