We returned to Leeds from York to specifically visit Rola Wala under the guise of a shopping trip! After visiting a couple of months ago we wondered if our memory of the food was affected by the rose tinted glasses, but it was equally exceptional! We were served by the same young man as last time who had talked us through the ordering process previously with patience and a smile. He was kind, warm and friendly and gave advice regarding what food best compliments each other when choosing the 50/50 rice bowl. I opted for red dahl and lamb and my partner had the beef and cauliflower. We both had 'the works' (all salads, paneer, vermicelli, yoghurt, sauces), a can of Diet Coke each and a bottle of water each. The portion size is huge, its fresh, tasty and although delicious you feel like you are still nourishing your body with goodness! For everything our bill came to less than a tenner each. Amazing. I just wish you could open a site in York! In the meantime, we will be returning to Leeds to 'shop' and will continue to tell all our friends about Rola Wala!
Rolls and rice bowls are delicious! A bit expensive for a normal workday lunch but great for a treat and it's cheaper and better than Barburrito and no more expensive than anything else at Trinity Kitchen. I always come here to get lunch if I am going on a long train journey. The lamb and beef 50/50 is really good, so good I keep getting the same thing even though I want to try the other fillings. A couple of times they have put coriander on when I have asked them not to but they have replaced the full bowl for me without me asking.
First time we've eaten here, or at trinity kitchen, it wasn't are first choice as we were overwhelmed with the variety of places to eat so just went to the first place we came to. Glad we did. We both really enjoyed the food and will definitely be going back.
