Lovely cafe run by volunteers, in the grounds of All Saints Church in Hunmanby. It's only open certain days and times, so worth checking on their website before travelling any distance.
For instance on a Wednesday you can get a two course lunch and tea or coffee for £5.50. You need to book as meals are cooked to order.
On other days you can have tea or coffee and usually on a Friday there is a community lunch held by Hun-Free a group dedicated to stopping food waste.
Contrary to what you might think, this is not a Food Bank, so everyone is welcome to both the meal and to take home food.
Joy the 'manager' makes everyone welcome.
Popped in for a cuppa and found it was "Community fridge day". This is where a team of local volunteers distribute donated foodstuffs to the people of Hunmanby & their visitors. We did get a cup of tea & 2 lovely Danish pastries, we made a donation to the funds for the church. We met a lovely lady called Jane, who is the secretary, and her hubby, who looked very dashing in his pinny! They are doing a wonderful job, sourcing & distributing good food, both helping the needy & saving excess waste! Bravo!... Keep up the good work!
Called for 2 teas whilst on a dog walk. Sat outside at the picnic table and chairs which was pleasant and peaceful. The service was good, the tea nice and the price very reasonable. Would recommend.
