Cafe Gandolfi what more can you say that does this amazing place justice? Apart from exceptional food, outstanding service and an ambience unique to Cafe Gandolfi it makes visiting it a key part of any schedule when in Glasgow.

My sister came to see us and was staying close by so we booked for breakfast at Cafe Gandolfi .. I did not know what to expect but what a brilliant find ! Wooden chairs and tables, warm & cosy with a mix of young families and couples - it was Valentine's Day after all 😍 Service was excellent - friendly & attentive .. The food took a while but it does say so on the menu & certainly worth the wait. Coffee was just as I like it. My hubby & sister both had Full English - both plates were clean so enough said ! I had Eggs Benedict .. The sauce was lovely with just the right tang, plenty of ham & eggs done perfectly. We also shared a croissant and jam with our second cup of coffee - which was warm & fresh. Such a lovely, warm spot in from the cold with great food & service - will definitely be back before the end our holiday !

Usually order the full breakfast. Decided to change it to toast with poached eggs and a side of bacon. Bad idea. The whole dish was bland. Not sure it was local Ayrshire bacon but there was certainly a lack of taste. Decor and atmosphere always welcoming and warm.
