Had one of the best caprese style salads over here. It was a bowl of cherry tomatoes, mozzarella with a delicious pesto dressing & was to die for.
The place is super cute and rustic looking, small but inviting. The only thing was the service was a bit slow. We came in, ordered drinks, which were brought to us - but the lady never took our food order. We waited a further 10-15 minutes and eventually went up to the counter to order - I'm guessing they forgotten?
Nevertheless I would come back in a heartbeat :)
I spent a lovely time there. The decoration is nice, the staff is very kind and the cake - especially the strawberry-white-chocolate is mind blowing. They also have decent vegetarian and vegan option. A bit pricey but it's nice to support independent shops ☕
I realise that there are a raft of new independent cafes and eateries popping up in Shawlands in recent months, which is a great thing, but this is the greatest brunch I have arguably ever had. In the words of Dale Cooper, this was a damn fine cup of coffee. I was going to order the big Scottish breakfast which I was told by the wonderful staff here that it was a sizeable portion, but instead went with the bacon, cheese and avocado sliders, which were fantastic. Also ordered was the vegan brunch extravaganza, which came with a wee jar of oats and yoghurt, and a wee side of fruit. Honestly, this place is amazing with great value for money. You won't regret a visit here.
