Myself, partner and father came here and had a lovely dinner, everything was delicious! Great sized portions and reasonably priced. Better than the usual pub grub you'd expect and excellent desserts enjoyed by all! The atmosphere is welcoming and cosy, the staff are attentive and it's definetly the place to eat if you ever find yourself in Gargrave.

We were not looking forward to a second consecutive evening of pub food but since most other restaurants were closed on Monday evening we found our way here. We needn't have worried. The menu is definitely not your typical pub fare. I had the rump of lamb which was beautifully cooked and pink in the middle. It was served with sun-blushed tomatoes which provided the necessary balance with the meat and also new potatoes and shredded cabbage. I was a little surprised to see large pieces of local bacon which, although working well with the cabbage did rather dominate the flavour of the lamb. Overall I was impressed with the imagination of the dish and the care with which it was cooked. The 'crushed' new potatoes weren't really crushed and therefore hadn't absorbed much of the cooking juices and the wine was served on top of a bucket of ice not in it. The service however was very friendly and attentive. Overall a very enjoyable meal and far better than the 'pub food' of the previous evening.

Stopped here after cycling up from Barnoldswick. Brilliant beer garden and food and drinks were excellent. The kids' menu is particularly good value. Proper home cooked mains and amazing dessert for £4.50. Staff very friendly. Could happily have stayed all day.
