Visited here for our 1st Wedding anniversary meal after recommendations. Entered and was greeted nicely, we hadn't booked and although obviously busy, we were accommodated. We chose from the 2 for £10.95 menu as was lunch time. I'm quite fussy but there was plenty to choose from. I chose deep fried camembert wedges to start and chicken and haggis stack for main. The hubby chose chicken meatballs to start with fish and chips for his main. The food arrived and was beautifully presented and perfect portion sizes. The camembert was served with 4 crostinis, garnish and a sweet but not too sweet cranberry dip. Husband's was equally nice. The main arrived and was impressive, the fish was large and the accompanying portion of chunky chips generous. Beautiful crunch to the batter and meaty fish. Mine consisted of beautiful mashed potato, passed through a sieve I'd imagine to ensure lump free made into a large quenelle so as not to be just dumped on the plate, this was topped with a large piece/s of chicken breast which was cooked beautifully atop this was a large slice of haggis again topped with a chicken breast. The dish was topped with a creamy whisky sauce with spring onions. It was accompanied by a side dish of root veg, perfect portion size. Everything cooked perfectly. We will revisit again and the only thing that was a negative, we weren't offered a wine list and the specials had to be read to us from a order pad. My suggestion is they are typed daily (would only take 5 minutes) and handed to the customer rather than having to remember the vast amount. All in all a great meal. Thank you!

Absolutely love coming here. Best food I’ve come across in Moray. Highly recommend. Definitely worth travelling too as well if you’re not in Forres. Amazing food and generous portions. Will be back (again)
