Had a great meal for six on a Thursday night - the bar was full and bustling in candlelight and the staff were very attentive and service prompt despite being full. There is a good range of ales on offer, and a wide ranging menu with small and large plates on offer. The starters were varied and good for sharing.
I had Thai beef which was delicate and beautifully spiced while my husband enjoyed a hearty offering of fish and chips.
We enjoyed it so much we tried to take friends back on Saturday night but it was fully booked.
Delightful - book ahead!
Anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Leith, you really must visit the Leith Depot. Staff are very friendly and make you feel at ease the moment you walk through the door. This is my second visit, and certainly won't be my last, I love the place.
On this visit I opted for the fish & chips, OMG.....FANTASTIC....best I've ever had in a bar, and certainly worth the wait. My friend had the moussaka, he throughly enjoyed that, as well as his side order of real hand cut chips.
On my pervious visit I had the Mull of Kintyre macaroni and cheese, again, wasn't disappointed... I can see this place becoming very popular, I for one have been advising all my friends to visit. Well done guys 😀
I was excited to hear talk of the Leith Depot, which has taken over where the legendary Meridian once traded. I popped in for a visit on a chilly Tuesday. The place is…well, I’m not quite sure. I guess it’s a bar with food, but it feels hard to pin down and not particularly clear in itself what it’s trying to be. It’s early days, though, so plenty of time for a more coherent identity to emerge.
