My post-London Marathon Celebratory Meal: this was my 2nd ever visit to Zigana and it has just cemented it's status as my favourite restaurant in Didcot. It speaks volumes of the place that I selected it for my post-marathon celebration after just 1 previous visit! Outstanding service, quality food and lovely people. We let them know we were coming in advance and they allowed my family to decorate the place a little and even gave me a complimentary bottle of wine as a congratulations for my achievement. The staff were outstanding, and I was treated like a hero - all of them had a chat and a photo with me. But more on the food: I ate 14 dishes at this particular visit (I know right, marathon running is hungry business, don't judge me!)... So it's fair to say I feel pretty qualified to judge the quality of food. In full, I ordered: All 8 meze dishes Grilled Sucuk Calamari Lamb Guvec Zigana Kofte Sekerpare Rice Pudding I enjoyed every single dish - but the standouts had to be the hummus, calamari, grilled sucuk and the lamb guvec. The lamb guvec was cooked to perfection, the lamb was so tender it practically dissolved in the mouth. If you are a lover of lamb, I firmly recommend this dish. The calamari was nice and crispy, and not at all chewy. The grilled sucuk is a type of spiced Turkish sausage for those who aren't aware, it's something a bit different to the rest of the menu and it goes down a treat. Very flavourful. And finally, the hummus was just delicious and creamy. I can't even find the words to describe the meals properly really, because I'm still knackered from today's marathon effort! But I tried my best. Basically, if you live in Didcot and you haven't been to Zigana yet - do yourself a favour and give it a go.

First visit this evening to Zigana's (finally!) The food was outstanding, so so so tasty! Every single thing we tried was incredible! Friendly welcome from staff, prompt service too. Zigana's accomodated a birthday cake and balloons for my friends birthday and felt very welcomed (even with two 6 year olds and a baby) will definately be coming back - to sit in and to take away as well! Amazing addition to Didcot - yum yum yum!!!!!!!!! Thank you xxxxxx
