We stayed next door at the Premiere Inn and had our meals here. The staff were lovely, but clearly over worked (and no doubt under paid), but they kept everything moving, the food was good and arrived quickly. The guy on the hot plates at the breakfast buffet was quite intense and a little abrupt. But the rest of the staff were 10/10.
We went there twice, both on early Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was not busy, but it was not easy to get waitress's attention for services. In one occasion, it took approx 45 mins for serving steaks and another 30 mins for serving the dessert. I was at one point thinking they've forgotten our order. Speed of service has let us down. In terms of food quality, their steaks were cooked as asked in medium rare. Sirloin steaks were tasted much better than Beefeater in Abingdon. The fillet steak didn't look like the traditional thick cut which I used to eat, Although it tasted good, but I genuinely didn't think it's a fillet steak. Overall experience is good, and I am happy to recommend and will re-visit.
We stayed here for one night, whilst travelling to Southampton.
It was was very lively place, and the bar was full.
We were told that there was a 40 minute wait to be seated in the restaurant, so we sat in the bar.
If you want a massive plate full of chunks of meat, then this place is for you. Flame Grilled Combo 👍
Draught beers and lagers not too clever.
