I booked a Christmas meal for a group of friends at the king rufus and from the start Gemma and Matt couldn't be more helpful. They booked their function room for us as we were a big group, they were there every step of the way to help us with one of our group who had allergies and couldn't eat everything from the Christmas menu. They answered any queries and questions we had, whenever we had them. When it can to the 13th Dec (the night of the meal) our table was beautifully laid, with our bottles of bubbly that came free if we booked for over a certain amount of people. Gemma came and opened them for us as our wonderful hostess. The starters were delivered once we were all seated, our main meal was delicious and was hot and when one of our party asked for me veg it was delivered, we were also lucky to get more yummy roast potatoes. They desserts were delicious.
Matt and Gemma did a wonderful job organising their Christmas meal and nothing was too much trouble. Our group has never been to the same place two years in a row for a christmas meal, however for Christmas 2017 I think we will definitely be returning here again!! Thank you to you both for a wonderful evening.
Hi I visited lunch time today 23/11/23. I had a chicken and bacon sandwich and my whole lunch was simply perfect. The young man (Robert) who looked after me was friendly, helpful and had a good sense of humour. My sandwich made by Charmaine I think was the name Robert told me, was delightful. When I'm working in the area again I WILL be back.....
Popped in for lunch while in the area, greeted straight away by bubbly friendly staff. Enjoyed our drinks in the garden and didn't wait long for food. Calamari was tender and crispy and the spicy sauce was very tasty. Ultimate Mac and cheese didn't look all that, but was I wrong. Strong cheesy flavour, plenty of sauce and insta worthy cheese pull. Katsu chicken curry was crispy and tasty, rice was flavourful and not dry like many places.
