It was lovely to meet Frankie and Selena today. They are so friendly.
The cafe is very relaxing and homely. It's super silent when the door is closed. The only thing one can hear inside is of someone talking.
The menu is quite small for the moment but has a variety of baguettes with various fillings like chicken mayo, ham, cheese, prawns, salad etc. What caught my attention was the Jamaican Mutton curry.
Frankie has mentioned the menu will eventually expand and there are plans for a full British breakfast.
While waiting Selena brought down a sample of the mutton part of a curry which was so flavourful. It was well worth the wait for the Curry. The meal was so homely and hearty with a great blend of spices and enjoyed the tapioca making this a unique signature dish to eat. Quite filling and delicious. I'd like to see it served on a plate than a take away as I was sitting down.
I'm interested in more of the Jamaican food range to come. I love trying ethnic dishes they are unique and different.
They make use of mock meats that are not easily found in stores and that are chewy, flavourful and have a realistic appearance and taste.
This place I Autism friendly and employes autistic people.
