Visited here with colleagues for a casual dinner. I read the good reviews so booked a table. We loved it. In fact they were still talking about the pizza the day after! Its a shame I didn't have room for desserts. Maybe next time...

We had a delightful freshly prepared lunch here today. An authentic wood fired pizza and paninis. Waiting staff were pleasant, attentive and helpful. Would recommend.

Best pizzas in Whitchurch and possibly Cardiff.
The burrata starter was a thing of wonder.
They also do a very nice Sardinian beer.
Next time you're thinking of a Dominos, have a word with yourself and get a takeout from here instead.

Popped by for the first time for lunch with a mate and was blown away by the service, quality of food, value for money and overall friendliness and warmth of everyone there. Proper jewel of the Whitchurch high street.

Exceptionally clean little cafe/restaurant in the heart of Whitchurch. Very friendly, helpful staff. Sensible menu, sticking to pizzas for mains with a lovely pizza oven. Pizzas were nice but not delicious - lacking a bit of flavour - herbs (basil), pepper....desserts looked good. Will have to visit in day to give them a try...

The freshly baked cakes and savouries are always to die for at La Cucina da Mara and with this in mind I asked if they would be able to make a dessert/cake for me for a special dinner party. I had previously tried their Paradiso cake which is scrumptious but I really wanted a chocolate cake. Speaking to Rita, one of the owners, she agreed to make a chocolate version of the Paradiso, filled with a chocolate cream and covered with a dark chocolate ganache. When I picked it up, it was beautifully decorated and trimmed with blueberries and raspberries.
It's safe to say that the cake went down a storm; it looked stunning - AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!
Thank you Rita and Mark for your continuing great service and the outstanding quality of your food. You are an absolute brilliant addition to Whitchurch Village and long may it continue!
