Scotsdales Sunflower Cafe Great Shelford

Love a trip to scotsdales. So many different things to look at! Lots of seasonal plants and everything thing you need to decorate and tend to your garden, from a ride on lawn mower to a window box, sheds and hot tubs. They have an amazing array of goodies to eat and drink as well as tipples, some beautiful gift ideas for the family! It also has an amazing pet/wild animal area as well as an aquatic centre, with such a lot of beautiful fish, from teeny tiny tropical and big koi carp! Also great opportunity to buy some pellets and feed them. They have a small selection of country wear as well as some very pretty jewelry. They have an extremely tasty restaurant that are very good value for money. AND now they have the most impressive selection of Christmas EVERYTHING, trees, lights, decorations, presents, tableware, honesty everything! Also a beautiful polar bear display that us and the children love to visit each Christmas. The only thing I would say is that some things can be a little pricey, but good quality at the same time.

Popped in today and it smelt like Christmas! Clearly they are getting ready for Christmas and Santa's Grotto is being prepared so half the shop was closed off, but we still enjoyed a wander around the sections that are open. Was very impressed by the number of Gluten free cake options! Was expecting one or two at most, but there were at least 8 options and a great variety - I had the chocolate cake on the recommendation of the lovely lady behind the counter and it didn't disappoint, could do with a bit more icing but that's probably just my taste! Will definitely be going back to try the millionaires shortcake, I didn't check out the gluten free hot food options but as the cake experience was so positive I shall be checking out the menu next time. Lovely selection of 'luxury' deli items, biscuits, preserves sauces and such and some great Christmas gift ideas not to mention the vast old fashioned sweet selection - can't remember the last time I saw a pineapple cube!!

Scotsdales is just wonderful, an awesome presentation of things you'd love to have at home. It's not cheap, I'm not sure it's good value, particularly re garden furniture but the quality is second to none and the customer service is great. Disappointed with the eating facilities, which is the best way to describe them.
