I had heard alot of good things about the Boatshack, and when I was taken there last week by a friend I could see why! Such a lovely place with very friendly staff! The food is fresh and delicious, and one of the best cups of tea I have had! I loved it that much I took my very good friend there yesterday and she loved it just as much as I did! Again the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. On both occasions the weather was perfect for us to sit outside, it was very relaxing with lovely views! I will definitely be going again and would highly recommend it to anyone.

So much nicer than the huge garden centre across the road. Good good, well cooked and reasonably priced. They serve gluten free bread and crumpets, a bonus for me. Always nice to sit and look over the boating lake, even if there’s nothing going on. A little gem of s place.

This is one of those places that I was tempted not to review so that it doesn't get too popular! It's lovely, sited at the side if a lake. The food menu is restricted in the week, less so at the weekend. The milkshakes are brilliant, as is the choice of teas. The background music is not to loud, and seems to stay around the 1950s and 60s. It is a venue for live music some evenings, some of which I hope to get to soon.

A stunning location with views of the lake, countryside & all the activities. Surrounded by happy people having fun in the views. Great seating outside on nice days to soak in the great atmosphere of the lake & activities. Then inside the Boat Shake is a treat, tasteful decor with something to catch the eye everywhere you look. Nick the owner is a perfect host always giving a warm welcome & I for one find his staff just the same. Great service & high quality food & drinks with great choices. Also his live music Rock n Roll events are a treat for those into great music & locals alike. On the cafe, I’ve never seen anyone unhappy in fact quite the opposite. I can not recommend the Boat Shack highly enough. Give it a go you’ll see what I mean.

Pretty good 👍 Staff are were really friendly, can't fault them. Food quality was mediocre, but acceptable if you're hope's weren't up. It's cheap sausages and burgers, supermarket budget stuff, which is okay of that's what you're expecting. Chips not crisps would have been a good upgrade option, but no can do. Coffee tasted good and was nice and hot. Toilet is near by, so good for young children, not so good if you're on the tables near them. Always bring the children's food out first. Always supply napkins ro tables with young kids. Parking is free. Disabled access from car park to Cafe. 4 Stars not 3, due to great staff and wonderful views of the boating lake.

What a venue!!! One of the most unlikely but incredible gigging venues I’ve been to in a long time. Cool vibes, wonderful setting, an incredible welcome and an amazing welcoming host. We travelled all of the way from Surrey to be there and will definitely go back. It’s wonderful. Thank you Nick, keep on rockin’ and rollin’. Long live The Boat Shack

Love this place, it funky and quirky. Fantastic location next to the lake with lots of interesting water sports going on and plenty of wildlife for the twitchers. Food is 'basic' but done well and coffee is good too.

A real gem of a place. Really clean, excellent value for money and a surprisingly wide choice of food on the menu. Highly recommended place.
