My partner and I decided to have lunch here on the way back from the Jinny Ring. What a great decision we made! We were welcomed in a warm and friendly way by all the staff, sat down straight away. Special mention for the staff’s attention to detail at this very early point: I’m quite fussy about how I like my lager-shandy made. 80% lemonade and 20% lager. During the course of our our meal I ordered this twice, each time it was *perfect*. My partner ordered Stella Artois. On to the food: Starters: My partner ordered the pate and caramelised onion chutney with toast. This was exceptional, the pate having a smokey depth of flavour almost along the lines of bacon. Truly wonderful! I had the avocado, prawn and mango salad with a Thousand Island dressing. Equally top notch as with the pate! Mains: we both had the roast beef and all the trimmings (it is a Sunday lunch after all!). This was also exceptional. Really very tasty and well presented food, all served with a smile and perfectly faultless service. The only slight criticism was the cauliflower cheese: definitely not enough cheese sauce, and it had a slight sweetish taste which did not complement the cauliflower (in our opinion, at least. But then, we all have different tastes and preferences!) Dessert: we started out our meal with the intention of having dessert, but when it came to it we had eaten our fill so could not manage any more on this occasion. However, we will, without a shadow of doubt, be returning very soon and will certainly leave room for afters! Overall: perfect place to eat, perfect staff with perfect food and drink: we definitely give this place 10/10! Thank you to all the staff at the Navigation Inn for giving us a wonderful Sunday lunch!

Without doubt the best cuisine for miles around, delicious menu, Sunday roast to die for, deserts - wow - and not expensive. Hats off to Staff and Chef, appreciate all your hard, recent work maintaining a traditional rural heritage pub and raising the bar VERY high ;)

Friendly polite staff. Toilets were spotless. Great range of vegetarian and vegan drinks (alcohol and none alcohol) Table service. We had vegan shepherd's pie which was beautiful. Chef came out to speak to us. Very friendly and jolly. He was heard singing in the kitchen and he actually hasa really good voice. Thank you for brilliant evening.

Great food, lovely atmosphere, staff were lovely, loved the singing chef 🤣👍 definitely recommend, I had steak medium cooked, was beautiful! My friend had lasagne and said that was great too. And we had a desert....which was beautifully presented and taste just as good as it looked! 😍🤤 Will definitely be going back!

Stopped by for a late lunch with friends who live nearby. The food was top class, the beer & cider excellent & the staff friendly & welcoming. The sun was finally out, so we chose the very tidy & well laid out garden to eat in. All in all a great couple of hours, our dogs were more than happy as well.

Looking to move to the area and had heard good things about this place so gave it a whirl. Popped in twice over the weekend, and it didn't disappoint. Staff were attentive and friendly (and remembered our drinks from previous visit which was lovely), environment was relaxed and the food was top notch. The roast dinner was the best we've had out for years. Feel that this pub will be a deciding factor in our future plans!

Nice little place sat between the railway and canal. Railway is not intrusive at all. Lovely beer garden, friendly, polite and helpful staff. Excellent food reasonably price. Well worth a visit, even a robin dropped by.

Lovely food and great drinks, all on draft tasted clean and fresh without a not no just cleaned lines. Service was great and greeted with a relaxed feel and no pressure feel Food was nice and cooked to perfection. I had the duck which was nice husband has lasagne which was nice. Value for money and average pub prices. Staff vey pleasant, but I'm a believer in you treat people how you want to be treated. I see treat people with respect even if you have a complaint be nice respectable about it. I've paid over £125.00 in the Robin Hood in wychbold and Queens Head that were rubbish, here is cut above food and drink wise for quarter of the price.

Me and my family went here yesterday for a fathers meal, lovely pub and the food was beautiful, unfortunately the service wasn't the greatest and extremely slow and i had to chase my order a few times. This didn't and wouldn't put me off going again as like i said the roast was beautiful - worth the wait :-). May be being fathers day its a bit more busier or they were just short staffed on the day?

First visit here which was recommended. Haven't been for years and it was great to see the pub looking so lovely even the flowers were great. We all had a fabulous Sunday dinner which was so tasty and plenty of it. It was cooked just how I like it, home cooked. The gravy and cauliflower cheese need a shout out because they were superb. Lovely atmosphere, lovely pub and really lovely staff. Well worth a visit, we will definitely go again.

Really nice pub with fantastic food and friendly staff. We sat outside under a heater which was lovely. We were pre warned that due to unforeseen circumstances only one chef was working that evening so that the wait might be a bit longer for food but when it came it was of a great standard. The fish pie was amazing (pictured with the daily curry and chicken burger). Thanks for a lovely evening.
