It's the best pub on the planet!
Well, maybe not - however what Chris and Dawn are trying to achieve here makes this place unique in today's diminishing pub trade. There is always an extensive choice of ales, most of them locally brewed and all are tasty, well looked after and reasonably priced. Add to this plenty of live music and some decent pub grub and The Park Gate is really on top of its game!
Having been in the pub before it turned into an Indian restaurant some years ago (leaving extremely disappointed) it seems as though they have really captured the essence of what a 'country' pub should be - that IS NOT fancy tables, pretentious food and over expensive corporate pig swill (or lager). It IS friendly service, delicious beer, good food and most of all a place where you can go and relax!

Lovely pub with great views and friendly staff. Fantastic selection of real ales and even a gin menu!! Large beer garden and bouncy castle for the kids. Pool table too.
We hosted a christening party here at the weekend - Dawn was fantastic on the run up to the event with helping organise timings and food. They decorated the room for us so we didn't need to worry. The staff were very helpful and ensured the food was replaced when low. Brilliant place, lovely people and will certainly be returning to enjoy the beer garden.
