A gorgeous place. Very friendly and attentive staff. Beautifully laid tables. The food is excellent and so well presented. We had the Gressinham duck, the beef ribs and the pressed heritage potato main. All were first class and delicious.
Beautiful surroundings and very pleasant staff good customer skills. Firstly, my main moan I find wherever I go the food is not hot enough for me, the vegetables need a little more cooking. The meat on the plates was lovely and tender . Although I can not understand why cauliflower cheese goes with Sunday lunch?. Also no mash potato, only 2 roasties.
My husband ordered a sweet appky crumble with cinamon x ice cream, and he said it was lovely. I went for the cheese board and thoroughly enjoyed it tee selection. We both thoroughly enjoy our food, and only next time will request a quick 2 minutes in the microwave before serving.
We visited the restaurant while on a long journey and tired, and left it feeling refreshed and happy. The hotel and garden are just beautiful and very well kept. The service is professional and welcoming, and the chairs are comfortable. Our food was very good, especially the duck and orange pate. We cannot wait to get back to it. Be careful not to miss the road to the hotel. It is easy to miss, and then there is a tricky quick turn after entering it.
