The white Hart! Oh my!! What an absolute gem. I almost didn't want to write this review to try and keep this amazing place all to myself. What a delight. The staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable. The garden and surroundings are to die for. I've popped in now everyday this week and I leave relaxed and ready for whatever life throws at me next. Seriously great pub and I will be back again for sure. The scampi, piggy fries, homemade soup and vegetable spring rolls are all really tasty. The menu is very pub food based. It's all cooked really well. Keep it up!
Excellent food, the only issue I have is on quantity and price, quality is excellent but you don't get an awful lot for your money. We had the cod and chips, it was a very small piece of cod served with "frozen type" chips and peas, which cost £12 each!
The place has a very nice garden along side a small, but fast flowing river (no fence, be careful with small children), a small but busy play area and a fair amount of seating outside (inside has limited seating). Good selection of drinks. Draw backs are it's location, right on a busy roundabout with a very small car park. However when we visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon the place was packed!, with an hour wait for food.
Lovely lunch today beside the canal with great burgers, beautifully cooked and served with coleslaw and crispy fries. The garden is lovely, the bar staff are very welcoming and the service was quick. Great value, we will be back again soon.
