Cheesecake is definitely one of my weaknesses so when I noticed this cheesecake shop as we were passing through the Shambles, I couldn’t help but stop to try a slice.
The display looked absolutely mouth watering with a few varieties in flavour. I did want to try good ol’ plain vanilla but they didn’t have any in unfortunately so I decided to go for the coffee flavour.
This is no ordinary cheesecake. You can really tell that its been made with good quality ingredients. It was rich, creamy and had just the right amount of coffee. It is hard to find a good cheesecake that resembles a home baked one but this one hit the spot. You know how picky I am when it comes to dessert so trust me on this one!
Definitely a generously sliced portion too.
The staff kindly offered my little one a sweet, however as they contained gelatine, I declined - so they went through the extra effort to find a chocolate bar in the back for her. I thought this was such a kind gesture and it made her super happy.
If you love cheesecake as much as I do, I definitely recommend grabbing some from here as you’re walking around York!!
Absolute little gem of the shambles, cheese cake was lovely we had a blueberry crumble highly recommend. Also Mr cheesecake was lovely, happily explaining all the flavours and his story, a lovely owner.

Delightful cheesecake in the Shambles - lots of offerings including mini cheesecakes and by the slice. I opted for the kinder bueno cheesecake and it was divine! Also got a chance to chat with the owner who was awesome. Highly recommend!
