Lovely pub inside great deco and feel. Good choice of drinks.
Will go again when more busy . I went during week so was quiet but still comfortable and chilled. Definitely worth a visit.

My first visit was back in March 1988 and I've called in dozens of times since then.
It's a fabulous pub and worth seeking out being what it says on the tin: stone arched cellars.
For a Greene King pub it's unique. A reminder of the history that surrounds you!

Had a blast at Lendal Cellars in medieval York. The vibes are as authentic as it gets with those cool brick ceilings. Shoutout to Nick for the top-notch pints, and Kal and Beth for making us tourists feel like locals. This place is a must-visit! 🍻🏰

It's so unexpectedly spacious in here. We had been let down by our intended lunch booking and found our way here. My burger was one of the best ever, hot and tasty and the fries were just right. There is a good choice of beers and other drinks and our dogs were welcome too, thanks

Well you can't get better than here for a great, reasonably priced meal in Central York. £10 for a soft drink and meal, or £11 for a pint and meal. I had a pulled mushroom chilli which was definitely the most delicious veg chilli I've ever had, served with an avocado relish. Our other meal was a beefburgers with fries, onion rings etc - again, excellent. It's a great place to eat and while away an hour. The bar service was slow, but the food came out within 15 mins or so, great. Would mist definitely recommend.

Popped in on a rainy busy Saturday for a bite to eat. The place was busy, which is always a good sign. The lower section had a lot of reserved seats for a pending party however we were able to find a table down there and the staff were helpful to reassure we they're was plenty of time for us to order and not to feel rushed. All staff were, friendly, helpful and polite. All our meals were filling, perfectly cooked and tasty. Exactly what was needed. Great atmosphere and would return to again.

Popped in for a quick half while on our wall walk. What a great find!
Friendly staff, very clean and such a quirky atmosphere being in 3 cellars.
Didn’t eat here, so I can’t comment on the food. But people seemed happy with their orders and everything smelt good.

Went for a Sunday evening dinner. Really nice décor, friendly staff, reasonably priced menu. Will certainly look at coming back next time we are back up in York 😊
