We can absolutely recommend the Wotton Hatch. We were positively surprised by the quality of the food and the fair prices. The cocktails were also pretty tasty and the staff was friendly. We would recommend their meat dishes a bit more than the salads but all in all very nice ambiance.
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing birthday dinner at Wooton Hatch this evening. It was quiet because of the Epsom Derby, so we almost had the place to ourselves and were able to choose one of the inside tables overlooking the wonderful Surrey Hills. We loved being able to watch the beautiful sunset with our meal. Our three courses were delicious, I had chilli prawns, a really good pizza, and a refreshing panna cotta. My partner had scallops, prawn and crab linguini, and a lovely fresh blackcurrant mousse. It's been a few years since we last visited, but we certainly won't leave it so long this time. Recommended.
What a beautiful spot to stop for lunch. The staff were very friendly and professional. The only issue I had was with the portion size of the millionaire chips, for £4.25 you just don’t get enough. Also the chips at the bottom of the bowl were soaking in truffle oil which was quite sickly.
