It’s smart and stylish with bright, modern decor. Refined, but retaining a cosy, homely feel.
We started with ‘Bread & Olives’ whilst perusing the menu.
Soft, fresh, still warm bread, served with a delicious whipped butter and juicy marinated olives.
Followed by an amuse bouche of ‘Pea & Chicken Liver Mousse’.
The mousse was lovely but I felt it would’ve worked better on toast rather than bread, it needed the extra texture.
Had the most wonderful afternoon tea today. Superb attentive staff, fabulous good quality food. Served in the most beautiful china cups and saucers and cake stands ...( pity not china sideplates though maybe somthing to think about ? ) ... however this did not spoil a wonderful afternoon tea ! We were there over three hours and did not feel preasured or rushed to finish our treat.Because it was a lovely treat .Throughly recommended. Spotlessly clean, very welcoming , nothing was too much trouble ...not that there were any issues to complain about .. I WILL be going back to sample other delights from the various other menus ....... I hope others get to enjoy this lovely place ;o) It's one of those places you want to tell everyone about .. thank you !
Lovely restaurant in the heart of Worsley. They have a small car park behind the restaurant which is convenient but there is also some free parking just down the road, and it's in a good spot to see the rest of Worsley village.
We managed to get a table for 4 quite quickly despite not booking and it being Sunday at midday. Staff were friendly and welcoming, though service was a bit slow.
Food was nice. Ordered the minestrone soup to start and then lamb roast for main. Soup was tasty and came with some slices of bread. Lamb itself was a bit tough and hard to cut but otherwise flavours and trimmings were good. Desserts we had (sticky toffee pudding and rhubarb tart) were also nice, though sweet. Very good value for money considering as it's all part of a set menu.
