Exceptional.. Whilst this might seem a bit out of the way for people it is well worth the trip.
The owners take great pride in welcoming people into their restaraunt and providing a dining experience rather than just a meal.
In 6 or so visits the food has always been of the highest standard. The menu covers many tastes and they have always been happy to make sensible amendments to dishes. The price of a meal, whilst not the cheapest way to eat is very reasonable, and certainly worth it.
Personally I have intolerances to both wheat and dairy and this is one of the few places I've found that can handle this without just removing parts of meals. (Give them a bit of notice to get some ingredients in).

We have returned here for the third time for special occasions previously and now just for a treat and time out to relax. This place is just fabulous on every level I love the peaceful surroundings and the service, food and accommodation is second to none. Hidden Gem🥰

Review of the pub only see entry for the view at Woolley Moor for the hotel review
This pub acts as reception for the view at Woolley Moor and is also where you can have dinner. Breakfast the following morning was included in our room rate and was simply brilliant.
The menuu for lunch and dinner is very good, the food and service are simply first rate. We had :-
Tomato and mozzarella tortellini and crab bruschetta both nicely presented and tasty
Mains
Hake amd parmentier potatoes and steak with chips peas and onion rings the later was fantastic, although the parmentier were burnt, having been left cooking too long. The fish was perfectly cooked.
Deserts
Mango bavarois _ stunning and the yorkkshire rhubarb panacotta brilliant
