Excellent fish and chip dinner with indoor seating (which is not.obvious from the outside). High quality local fish. Dinner served on polystyrene trays not plates, no pasties left and some some confusion in taking down the order. However food was very good and enjoyed by family.
Decent fish and chips. Better than that Rick stein bollocks over in Padstow that's for sure.
They do trick you by having the restaurant downstairs so you can't tell there's a queue until your inside, but given the shady history of the people of woolacombe such underhanded tactics are to be expected.
The food is good for the price, the wait isn't that bad given how busy it is here today (unless you listen to that one guy complaining that other people got their orders before him...), and the staff are friendly and service is good, despite the fact it must be a bazillion degrees in that kitchen on a day like this.
10/10 would queue here for chips again
Visted the village chippy one evening and ordered 4x fish and chips to take away. It was reasonably priced and very fresh and tasty. We then went and sat on the seafront and enjoyed both the scenery and the food. Will definately return.
